For a school's own office and for its old students' association. Members of a year group don't need this: they log in on their year group's own site.

School office: Headmasters, administrators and board members. See which year groups are on MyYearGroup, what they raise for the school and their public events, and post the school's needs and announcements.
Old students' association: The national or regional executive. Everything the office sees, plus looking after the school network across every year group: reports and suspensions.
What happens next: We check who you are, usually within two working days, and email you an invitation. Neither role sees old students' contact details or year group accounts.
